Gregg and his wife Janell met in October 1972, only 7 days after dedicating his life to walking and serving with Jesus Christ as His personal Lord and Savior. Together they answered God’s call to Christian camp and youth ministry. They have shared 50-some years of marriage and ministry, and have who he likes to call, “our wonderful daughter Kaylene” who is married to Bryan, and “our wonderful granddaughter Amy Grace!”
Gregg’s abundant life journey has been a demonstration of his love for his family and respected companions from around the world who have helped him to navigate his adventurous paths.
By maneuvering carefully through difficult experiences from childhood including suffering and surviving traumatic plane crashes and technical climbs, his faith and life have been preserved and strengthened in many miraculous ways.
Gregg received his education and degree from Biola University where he also taught on the adjunct faculty in the Christian Camping and Recreation Administration program from 1976 – 1981.
Shortly after, Gregg was called from California to Colorado to convert a beautiful Hot Springs resort into a Christian Camp and Conference Center. He went on to serve in leadership at Horn Creek Christian Camp and eventually served in leadership for 15 years with Denver Area Youth for Christ and Youth For Christ/USA.
In 1996, Gregg was called to Branson, Missouri, where he served for nearly 20 years as President of Kids Across America Kamps. Today, KAA can host some 7,500 inner-city children and urban group leaders from 500 of “our nation’s deepest urban centers” as described by Dr. Tony Evans.
On the heels of retiring from KAA in 2016, Gregg accepted a gracious offer to serve with Kanakuk Ministries, a family of ministries that includes six overnight Kanakuk Kamps that welcome more than 20,000 campers around the world.
Gregg continues to serve as Assistant to the President of Kanakuk Ministries. He and his wife, Janell, reside in the Greater Branson Area.
